Pomodoro App 1.2

Today, the latest update of Pomodoro App went live in the App Store. It brings a number of bug fixes, but also 4 new features:

  1. The app now shows the sum of actual and estimated Pomodoros for each day in the archive.
  2. It is now possible to send an email for each day from the archive. The email can either contain a formatted report or have attached a csv file with the raw data. Both the report and the csv file include the description of the activities, the number of actual and estimated Pomodoros as well as the number of internal and external interruptions.
  3. The trash icon has a new option: Besides "archive" and "delete" you can now "reuse" an activity. This option will archive the activity and puts a copy of it back to the inventory at the same time. This is particularly helpful for recurring tasks like "Inbox to zero", which you might want to do every day.
  4. The app now supports TextExpander touch snippet expansion. With TextExpander touch, you can type faster using short abbreviations that expand into long snippets. Read more about it on the SmileOnMyMac Homepage or buy it directly from the App Store.

As usual, we'd love to hear from you. If you find a bug or have an idea for a feature, please leave a comment or give us feedback via our contact form or email.

Looks impressive and I have to admit I am very tempted to buy. Very nice and clean interface.

But .....

Please rethink your user interface here

Trash can to archive?
Trash can to reuse a completed activity?

Trash is trash and neither archive nor reuse.
Not very intuitive and really more like MS than Apple.

Just my 02 cents.

If you're still into the universal app please consider some kind of automatic cloud synching between iPad and iPhone. I'd vote for MobileMe others probably for other services.

Good luck

Interruptions

How do I delete an interruption?
How do I make corrections to the number of interruptions?

Interruptions may lead to new activities either on the activity list or the today list. A shortcut to the input line in the appropriate list or an input panel would be nice.

Touching the interruption marker offers 6 buttons instead of the current set of two:

Internal interruption
Internal interruption new today activity
Internal Interruption new activity
External interruption
External interruption new today activity
External Interruption new activity

Once the new activity has been entered the app returns back to today continuing the countdown with the originally active activity.

Reuse is not possible when the activity has already been moved to the archived list. Would be nice to reuse from here as well. (feature request)

An activity has to be selected before the timer is started. An assignment of an activity after the start of the timer is not possible. Either do not allow the timer to be started without having an activity acivated or allow to assign an activity to a pomodoro which has been started without active activity. (feature request)

@Vauha: Version 1.3 was released some minutes ago and should soon be available in the App Store. This should fix all of your issues except that the trash icon is still the same. We noted the feature request for reuse from the archive.
